Selected date

Selected time

1:00 PM  –  2:00 PM

Join Iowa DNR Furbearer and Wetland Biologist, Vince Evelsizer, to learn more about the wolves of North America. With the focus on interesting and exciting things related to wolves from Mexico to Canada, a highlight will be a wolf display that'll be set up at Indian Creek Nature Center provided by the International Wolf Center!

Wolves were once found all over North America. However, wolf populations have experienced many changes over the past 150 years. Their presence in the past has been the subject of tales, folklore, and children's books. In today's world, much more is known collectively about wolves and their behaviors thanks to scientific research, documentaries, etc. Please join us for an afternoon to discuss the past, present and future of wolves in North America and how it relates to Iowa. This presentation will be geared towards adults. A child friendly wolf program will be offered on Saturday, November 16th.
